Last season John Wall did not play a single NBA game despite being healthy. The five-time NBA All-Star sat out the entire year after being told by the Rockets that he would only get limited playing time.

While it was presented as a mutual decision between the team and the player, the now-Clippers point guard says that was not the case. Wall says that he wanted to play and knew he was good enough to start for Houston.

“Pissed as hell,” Wall told The Athletic recently. “Pissed as hell. I wanted to play basketball.” At the same time the 32-year-old point guard was understanding of the Rockets’ decision to prioritize their draft picks and the future.
