The Philadelphia 76ers started their season in a rough pattern, ended up getting an 0-3 card in such an unexpected way. Given their state as a title contender, Philly fans can’t stop the flowing doubts with regards to their capabilities.

But finally on Monday, the Sixers bursted away from a winless start, etching their first victory of the season after outlasting the visitors in Indiana Pacers, 120-106.

For James Harden, breaking the losing snap and finally getting on the win board can only provide a huge sigh of relief. He noted that the needed win serves as a momentum to continue the positive habits.

“It felt like we were 0-82!” Harden claimed about the Sixers’ feelings after going 0-3, per Ky Carlin of the Sixers Wire. “It felt good. It’s a work in progress. As most as you want things to happen overnight and us to be 4-0, we’re 1-3 so we just got to keep continuing to work, continue to build really good habits, and live with the results, but we got to hang our hats on a defensive man.”

Harden had a near triple-double, collecting 29 points, 11 assists, and nine rebounds to lead the Sixers all the way. Joel Embiid, who dropped 26 points and five rebounds, also provided his own thoughts about the team’s rubbish intro.

“I mean, from the fan’s perspective, they probably wanted me to be traded and the whole team to be sent down to the G League,” Embiid said. “To me, there was no pressure.

“0-3, three games in, and, like I said, fairly new team. Everybody’s tried to find that way. I thought today was a big step offensively and defensively.”

The Sixers are looking to carry their first winning mark on the road as they face the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday.
