Darvin Ham on Lakers’ poor 3-point shooting vs Warriors

Last year’s Lakers’ problem of poor three-point shooting was lingering in season opener against the Warriors (109-123). Los Angeles was 10/40 from beyond the arc while Golden State made 16 of 45 attempts.

After the game Lakers’ head coach Darvin Ham was asked about his team missing three-pointers. “It’s make or miss league,” he said. “We just got to continue to get the reps. Get them up in practice, get them up in shootaround, individual workouts. We do our vitamins.

“We just got to continue to shoot, shoot, shoot. Repetition. You become better at anything with more reps. Just got to get them up.

“I was really pleased though how we defended the three-point line in the first half. I think they were 5/20, we were 3/21. But we just got there all open looks that’s designed within the system. Guys just got to step up and knock down shots. It’s nothing to be explained in that regard.”
