Incoming third-year wingman Jaden McDaniels is slated to start for the Minnesota Timberwolves this upcoming season, sources told Yahoo! Sports’ Chris Haynes.

With him starting, he is set to be inserted with the likes of Karl-Anthony Towns, Anthony Edwards, Rudy Gobert, and D’Angelo Russell – creating a towering lineup that is six-foot-five above in height.

McDaniels being appointed to start has been an expected transition for the club since the offseason upon the shipping of both Patrick Beverley and Jared Vanderbilt to the Utah Jazz.

The lengthy forward is expected to primarily shoulder the perimeter defense of Minnesota as he starts. He averaged 9.2 markers, 4.2 rebounds, and 0.8 blocks last season.
