There is one more familiar case for Dennis Schroder on his second spell with the Lakers. Him and Russell Westbrook were teammates during the 2018-2019 NBA season while playing for the Thunder.
The German point guard talked about the former league MVP with whom he stays in touch to this day as he addressed the media for the first time since signing with the Lakers.
“Russ is my guy,” Schroder said. “He helped me so much when I was there and even after that. He is like my big brother. He’s helping me, we’re staying in touch and to play with him again it’s going to be great. It was fun times, positive vibes with him every single time. I can’t wait to get to work with him and with everyone else.”
