Deandre Ayton reveals he already had conversations with Suns coach Monty Williams

The whole Phoenix Suns fan base can take a major sigh of relief now, as the relationship of both Deandre Ayton and the Phoenix Suns appears heading on a restoration stage.

Ayton revealed on Monday that he already had some plenty of talks with Williams as the upcoming season is already nearing.

“Yeah, most def. I mean, we talk, man,” Ayton told Duane Rankin of the Arizona Republic. “At the end of the day, it’s like we’re trying to contribute to a win. Everything is back to normal. Nothing has changed to be honest.

“Yeah, I may have come to media day (Sept. 26) just bland, but I wasn’t trying to give nobody no damn story or nothing, but it flipped on me. So, I can’t really say nothing. Just let everybody run away with it. All I know is we’ve been in here working. We’ve been battling each other, beating up each other in training camp. Coach has been loving it.”

Ayton shocked the league after unveiling last month that he hasn’t talked yet with Williams since the Suns’ notorious collapse against the Dallas Mavericks in Game 7 of their second-round encounter.

It has been reported by various sources that both sides were feuding at that, as Williams was upset at Ayton’s effort as he benched him for the majority of the one-sided match. The big man ended up playing just 17 minutes as Phoenix bowed down in a miserable fashion at home.

Williams, in his response to Ayton’s claim then, noted that he wants space from his players to take a break in the offseason.

As things are going back to normal, at least, Suns supporters can only aspire that it’ll be a smooth sailing moving forward as they continue that pursuit of an NBA title.
