When discussing good shooters in the NBA, the name of Russell Westbrook is not among those that gets mentioned often.

His accuracy differs relative to a shooting spot. One of those spots that the former league MVP needs knock down shots is corner threes.

He knocked 2 out of 4 of those in preseason game against the Suns. Even though one game, especially during preseason, is a small sample size. Despite not being the greatest shooter, Westbrook is confident in his shot.

Via Kyle Goon of Orange County Register:

“I know I’m a good shooter, and I’m very confident in myself and my ability to shoot the basketball,” he said. “Just continue working on my craft as I always have, and take good shots. The quality of shots is important. Making sure I’m not taking the bad ones is something I try to emphasize, attacking the basket.”

Last season Westbrook averaged 18.5 points, 7.4 rebounds and 7.1 assists in 34.3 minutes per game for Los Angeles. He shooting percentages were close to his career numbers – 44.4% of field goals and 298% of three-pointers.
