Steph Curry and Klay Thompson teamed up for the three-point contest as part NBA Japan Games. The Splash Brothers won it defeating their teammate Jordan Poole.
After the even Thompson, who has not played in either of the preseason games that the Warriors played, spoke about the three-point contest.
“I love shooting the basketball, especially on the same team as Steph,” the 32-year-old shooting guard said. “I’ve gone against him twice in the three-point shootout, so it was nice to have a combination of the great shooting. It was nice to humble Jordan Poole.”
It was the first time for Thompson doing a combo three-point shooting. “I’ve not [done it before], but I’m always open to new things. I felt good. I was nervous when I missed my first shot.”
“I feel great. I’m excited for the season. It’s hard to put into words how excited I am,” he added.
