The Philadelphia 76ers star big man Joel Embiid has been sworn in as a U.S. citizen. Embiid, a native of Cameroon and holding French citizenship, says his son played a pivotal role in the process: “My son is American. I felt I’m living here and it’s a blessing to be an American. So I said ‘why not?’”
