This Clippers are set to start another season where they are viewed by many as having one of the best rosters in the entire NBA.

Having added a five-time All-Star John Wall this offseason and returning Kawhi Leonard, the team will look to end a title drought next season.

According to the Clippers President of Basketball Operations Lawrence Frank, the team is trying to build an era and to compete for a championship every year.

“Our goal is not just to try to compete and win a championships this year, but be in that same position the following year and the following year after that. It’s an era we’re trying to produce,” he said.

“We all know how extremely hard it is to win a championship. We all embrace the challenge but realize how it is. All we have to do is go back two years ago Kawhi’s injury against Utah. Kawhi was playing the best basketball of any player in the world, our team was playing at a high level and unfortunately for Kawhi and the group he got injured.

“I think with that it just reinforces the urgency you have to approach every single day. Nothing’s guaranteed. This league changes quickly, people forget quickly. That’s kind of the hunger and urgency we’ve seen from the group the entire offseason.”

Frank also acknowledged how tough the league will be next season with almost a third of the teams potentially being contenders.
