Canada is reportedly set to lift its vaccine requirements for the entering athletes across different sports leagues.
As provided by Eric Atkins and Robert Fife of The Globe and Mail, the Canadian government is eyeing Sept. 30 to finally announce the removal of COVID mandatory vaccine requirements.
Last month, NBA teams were informed via memo that players had to present either a primary course of COVID-19 vaccine mandate, or be given a medical clearance as medical reasons to be allowed to play inside the country. That will change once the lifting finally takes place.
Majority of the league players were able to play last season within Toronto Raptors’ Scotiabank Arena due to their complete vaccine status. Meanwhile, several players in the likes of Kyrie Irving and Matisse Thybulle were notably barred from joining travelling.
