Gilbert Arenas is now taking his argument against Giannis Antetokounmpo in the battle of brains.

On his podcast, the retired star cager has shifted his takes over the Greek superstar, questioning if he got an enough mental edge to go on par with Chris Paul, Stephen Curry, LeBron James, Nikola Jokic among others.

“Let’s go to the mental side,” he said on his podcast. “Is he smarter than Chris Paul? Is he smarter than LeBron James? Is he smarter than (Stephen) Curry, Klay (Thompson), Draymond (Green), Kawhi Leonard, (Nikola) Jokic, Luka (Doncic)? If he doesn’t rank number one in that, that’s what I mean.”

Criticisms against Antetokounmpo aren’t that new on the side of Arenas. As oddly and controversial as it may be, he remains unfazed of the backlash receiving from the basketball community and the whole Milwaukee Bucks fan base.

Though Giannis is the current epitome of strength and power in the league landscape, he is no doubt an intellectual one of his own. That golden hardware he features wouldn’t have been attainable if he doesn’t possesses that kind of mental fortitude and toughness that he developed throughout those arduous times as a humble kid from Athens.

Perhaps there’s no end in sight on Arenas bashing Antetokounmpo. But at the end of the day, real and legitimate fans understand the Greek Freak’s greatness and uniqueness as an all-time icon.
