Steph Curry, Under Armour ‘nearly locked’ lifetime deal worth $1 billion

Both Stephen Curry and the Under Armour brand “has nearly locked” a lifetime partnership worth a wooping $1 billion.

Per Matt Sullivan of Rolling Stones, both Curry and UA had continued talks of extension even though the four-time champion has an up-down relationship with founder Kevin Plank.

“There wasn’t quite an understanding of what it took to run a business like that properly,” Curry said. “So, yeah, I got mad.”

Curry even admitted that he nearly left the brand in 2018 until Under Armour has decided to separate the Curry Brand which is similar to Nike’s Air Jordan.

“I don’t have to raise my voice to get mad,” Curry says. “That’s the best part about it.”

The greatest shooter in history has been tied with the company since 2013. Since then, he became Under Armour’s face of their shoe line upon his ascendence in the NBA world, becoming the primary cornerstone of the Golden State Warriors with a two-time MVP honors and a solid distinction as one of the game’s greatest.

Both Curry and UA continues to enjoy their contract until 2024. As such, with this given nearly agreement of a lucrative collaboration, a big-time deal could be on the horizon soon.
