Anthony Edwards apologizes over his viral hate speech against LGBTQ community

Anthony Edwards issued a public apology over his recent homophobic remarks that went viral.

The Minnesota Timberwolves standout posted in his Instagram story a controversial referral of shirtless group of guys as “q—r ass n—-s.”

Right after this, various progressive people and LGBT advocates have condemned Edwards, and he finally admitted his wrongdoings via Twitter as a response.

The NBA, including the Timberwolves and the rest of the 29 teams, has been vocal in supporting the rights and privileges of LGBTQ community, wherein they even adapt a rainbow color on their social media logos to celebrate the Pride Month.

Given his young age, Edwards still has more room to develop, mature and be professional enough. But at the end of the day, he has to be mindful of his actions and gestures as a public figure, or else his reputation will be shattered to pieces.
