Boston Celtics guard Marcus Smart insists he didn’t feel insulted when his name came up in rumors pertaining to a potential Kevin Durant trade.

Smart, the reigning Defensive Player of the Year, is one of several Celtics who were rumored to be part of a group the team didn’t mind losing if it meant they got KD.

The player, however, took it as a compliment.

“When you’re doing business, personal stuff has to go out the window and can’t be the issue, so you can’t look at it like that,” he said, per Nets Wire. “If your name is up there in trade talks, I look at it as a compliment. It means teams want you. That’s a good thing. The problem is if your name is not (in rumors), nobody wants you. So that’s how I’m looking at it and that’s how people should look at it. It’s tough, I understand it, but just because it’s going on, you never know. Anything can happen.”

The Durant saga appears to be dead at the moment, with the Brooklyn Nets announcing the two-time NBA champion is staying put late last month.
