Thunder fans will have to wait for another season to see this year’s number two draft pick Chet Holmgren make his debut in the NBA.

The 20-year-old forward suffered a season-ending injury during a game the CrawsOver pro-am in Seattle. He landed awkwardly when guarding LeBron James on a fast break.

Some started speculating that Holmgren’s skinny frame was factor for the injury. Thunder general manager Sam Presti shot down shut talks.

“It’s an acute injury, it’s an impact injury. It’s a figment of the alternate reality of the Internet. But it’s not reality,” Presti said, per Brandon Rahbar.
