Though the New York Knicks remain in command as favorites to land Donovan Mitchell, there’s other teams making entries for themselves to steal the show.

In which Utah Jazz head executive Danny Ainge reportedly favoring also.

Sources told Marc Berman of the New York Post that there are two other Mitchell offers outside of New York that Ainge considers he “likes.” The names of the teams were not disclosed, but they certainly have solid pieces that rival the Knicks’ proposals.

Other than New York, teams like Charlotte, Washington, L.A. Lakers, Brooklyn, and Cleveland have reportedly expressed their regard for Mitchell, who is a three-time All-star and still under contract through the 2025-26 season.

While this could just be a disguise to convince the Knicks to finally pull the trigger – amid reports of hesitancy to part ways with their future picks – there might be some sense of urgency now on their side to hasten their own process of constructing a competitive package to acquire the hometown kid.
