As the offseason heads towards the training camp, it seems more and more likely that Kyrie Irving will remain with the Nets this coming season.

Although the Lakers – the team that has the highest interest in the former NBA champion – are reportedly willing to include their future first round picks in trades to bring a big-time player, Irving is invested in staying in Brooklyn next year, Brian Windhorst says.

“I think Kyrie Irving is invested in being a Brooklyn Net next year,” Windhorst said on ESPN’s Get Up, via HoopsHype. “Obviously there was some turmoil with his contract extension not happening. He realizes his best path moving forward to get the contract he wants in Brooklyn or elsewhere is to have a very good season.”
