Nick Nurse optimistic on Pascal Siakam’s offseason progress: ‘He looks great’

Nick Nurse is liking what he sees on the leader of his Toronto Raptors club.

Nurse told reporters during his charity golf tournament on Wednesday that Pascal Siakam looks terrific in his summer workout and progress.

Siakam missed an early part of the last season due to his shoulder surgery recovery, but he stood up greatly in leading the Raptors for a postseason seat.

Averaging 22.8 points, 8.5 boards, 5.3 assists, 1.3 steals and 49.4 percent efficiency for 68 games, he was named as a member of All-NBA Third team.

As such, though they failed to prevail against the Philadelphia 76ers in their first-round encounter in the previous offseason, it was a learning curve for both the Cameroonian cager and the Raps.

Nurse believes that his group holds some special traits moving forward in the upcoming basketball year.
