EuroLeague star Mike James was recently asked to name his Top 5 current players. The 31-year-old point guard who plays for Monaco in France started the lis with his friend Kevin Durant.

He then named LeBron James, Joel Embiid and Giannis Antetokounmpo. As for the last player on his Top 5 James was picking between Luka Doncic, Steph Curry and Nikola Jokic. His choice was the Slovenian superstar.

According to James, Curry is a bit one dimensional at times and is not sure he would thrive on a different team the way he does in Golden State.

“Well, one I’m biased, so Kev. Two. This is kind of where we had an argument [with Durant] right here,” James said on We Are Not The Same. “I’m not going to say any numbers other than this. In my Top 5 I got Kev, Bron, Embiid, Giannis.

“And then I gotta think. It get tough if I do that. Between Luka, Steph, Jokic. It’s a little rough for me around that area… Luka’s nice, man. A lot of still. Just a lot of everything. We’re lucky he’s not athletic.

“I’m probably going to say Luka. I feel like Jokic and Steph are just a little bit below those other five. But obviously they’re still amazing…

“Steph’s like how he plays and how he gets stuff off it’s just kind of one dimensional at times if that makes sense… He’s not the primary ball handler a lot and for a point guard that kind of bothers me. But he does score off the dribbles. He’s a superstar.

“When you’re picking your top five, you’re kind of just picking that, you’re drawing the straws at this point. You’re just kind of nitpicking.

“I think those other five can do whatever they want to do on any team in the world right now. If we put Luka, Embiid, KD and Giannis on any team in the world, they gonna beat whoever they gonna be who they are right there as soon as you put them in there.

“I just don’t know about that for Steph. I think it’s a little murky. He’s still gonna kill, he’s still gonna be stiff, but I just don’t think he maximizes himself at that team.”
