The longevity that LeBron James has been able to display his unmatched in the NBA. In his 19th season in the league he averaged 30.3 points, 8.2 rebounds and 6.2 assists in 37.2 minutes per game.

Another athlete in American team sports that has been showing impressive longevity and still winning titles is NFL legend Tom Brady. Sports analyst Skip Bayless was asked by a viewer of his show ‘Is LeBron defeating Father Time just like you think Tom Brady is?’

“The answer to that is a big N-O,” he said as he began to explain why he thinks so. “I will give you that LeBron James had the greatest year 19 last season of any NBA player ever, but that’s in large part because not many have lasted or wanted to last as long as LeBron has.

“I admire his fitness dedication, I admire his commitment to nutrition and warrior workouts, yet remember LeBron is 7 years and 5 months than Thomas Edward Patrick Brady Jr. And I do realize it’s virtually impossible to compare playing NBA basketball to playing quarterback in the NFL, but LeBron’s all-time greatest year 19 was statistically flawed.”

Bayless then proceeded to point guard LeBron’s poor three-point and free-throw shooting – in number of attempts in both categories the four-time NBA champion is 15th in the league, however, when it comes to shooting percentages, he is 93rd and 86th respectively.

According to Bayless, unlike James, Brady had great season at the age of 44 and did not show any significant weaknesses.
