Miami Heat and Slovenia guard Goran Dragic is likely to skip this summer’s international duties and not play at Eurobasket.

Dragic has said that he will opt out of his contract with the Heat and become an unrestricted free agent this summer.

And with all options to be explored, Dragic is leaning towards focusing on his next season in the NBA, where he hopes to stay on South Beach.

“Every offer, we’re going to go through,” Dragic said. “I like this organization, this basketball style.”

The 28-year-old is also due to become a father as wife Maja is due to give birth to their first child during the off-season.

But with Goran possibly out of the picture this summer, the keys to the Slovenian team might be handed to his brother Zoran as Slovenia, the previous Eurobasket hosts look to qualify for next summer’s Olympic Games for the first time since gaining independence in 1992.

Eurobasket begins on September 5 and Slovenia are in Group C, which is staged in Zagreb, along with hosts Croatia, who they play first, Georgia, Netherlands, FYR of Macedonia and Greece.
