According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Oklahoma City Thunder are hiring Chip Engelland as an assistant coach. Engelland, considered the NBA’s preeminent shooting coach, spent 17 years with the Spurs where he’s considered to have had an immense impact on Kawhi Leonard and Tony Parker, among others.

Engelland comes to a young, developing roster with the Thunder where his teaching should have a great impact – now and in the future. The Oklahoma City Thunder GM Sam Presti has a relationship with Engelland back to his days in the Spurs’ front office.
