According to Jovan Buha of The Athletic, star guard Russell Westbrook and the Los Angeles Lakers seem to be headed toward “an inevitable divorce.” Splitting with his longtime agent has added to the perception Westbrook has become more difficult to deal with.
“The dynamic between the Lakers and Russell Westbrook is becoming more untenable with each passing week as they seemingly head for an inevitable divorce.”
After being acquired by the Lakers last offseason, Russell Westbrook struggled, averaging 18.5 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 7.1 assists, all numbers below the standards he’s set for himself.
