Goran Dragic will continue his career with the Bulls after agreeing to a one-year deal. He was drawing interested from the Mavericks as well where he would have teamed up with fellow Slovenian Luka Doncic, but in the end he chose Chicago.

In a recent interview the 36-year-old point guard revealed that Dallas was not an option for him because of a very limited playing time that they offered and he feels he can still play significant minutes in the league.

Via Kirk Henderson of Mavs Moneyball:

“We were in talks with Dallas. They made an offer but I decided not to take it. They wanted me to play one game and then sit for the next five. I know I can still easily play 20 minutes per game. I’m not ready to retire and just sit on the bench in a cheerleading role.”

This past season Dragic split between the Raptors and the Nets, averaging 7.5 points, 3.1 rebounds and 4.1 assists over 21 games.
