Russell Westbrook has had a lot of positive press as of late, triple-doubles, outstanding mentions for single-handedly saving the Oklahoma City Thunder and all the rest. But it might come to nothing if the Thunder does not qualify for the Playoffs, something that could turn out to be likely.
Now, Westbrook’s critics have made a glorious return and despite a career high 54 points in the Thunder’s loss to Indiana, the media have slammed Westbrook for taking 43 shot attempts.
Something a fellow NBA star has taken offence to.

To defend his London 2012 team-mate, Kobe Bryant decided to use the most powerful tool of all.
The internet.
Taking to Twitter, Kobe posted a Liz Lemon meme accompanied by the message “#StopIt”.
Maybe Westbrook wasn’t fond of his team’s execution this time around.
KG TO PLAY SEASON 21?
The best things sometimes need to left alone. The Undertaker’s undefeated Wrestlemania streak should have stayed at 20-0 but he went on to lose when 21-0.
It seemed that 20 seasons was enough for Kevin Garnett, but it seems he’s enjoying life in Minnesota again.
So much so that reports surfacing from ESPN’s Marc Stein suggest that KG is heavily considering playing in a 21st season.
Only time will tell, I guess.
ROD THORN TO RETIRE AS PRESIDENT OF OPERATIONS
Legendary NBA figurehead Rod Thorn, who is the current president of operations with the NBA and was also general manager of the Bulls, Sixers and Nets will plan to retire in August.

Thorn is highly regarded around the league, a figure who commands respect among executives, coaches and players.
Thorn, 73, returned to the league office in August 2013 to oversee the league’s daily operations under commissioner Adam Silver, an appointment that had been planned to be a two-year bridge to a longer-term successor, sources said. Kiki Vandeweghe, the NBA’s vice president of basketball operations, is a strong candidate to be promoted to take Thorn’s job, sources said.
Thorn had three stops as a general manager – with the Chicago Bulls, New Jersey Nets and Philadelphia 76ers. He was the NBA’s Executive of the Year in 2001-02 for orchestrating the Nets’ dramatic turnaround that led to an NBA Finals run. Thorn might best remembered for drafting Michael Jordan to the Chicago Bulls with the third overall pick in the 1984 NBA draft.
