LeBron James and Russell Westbrook sat in opposite sides during Lakers Summer League game

It seems that there is growing divide between LeBron James and Russell Westbrook amid the trade rumors that the Lakers want to trade the star point guard for Kyrie Irving.

According recent reports, James is the one pushing the most for Los Angeles to make a move for Irving, his former teammate in Cleveland. Such trade would inevitably include Russ who is aware of the rumors.

A sign of uneasiness between LeBron and Westbrook could be seen during the Lakers Summer League game as the two stars sat in opposite corners from one another and didn’t even acknowledge each other.

Via Kyle Goon of The Orange County Register:

There was one notable exception among the visitors: Russell Westbrook, who sat in the opposite corner of Thomas & Mack Center next to the summer league players, stayed on the far side of James. The two superstar teammates – who as of now are scheduled to play together again come October – made no public acknowledgment of one another before Westbrook left the exhibition at halftime.

Westbrook was involved in the team huddles, but never trekked across the gym – and neither did James, who arrived and left from a different entrance on the opposite side of the arena.
