Kyrie Irving opted into his player option and should spend the next season with the Nets. This news ended speculations of his potential reunion with LeBron James on the Lakers.

Sports analyst Skip Bayless thinks that the price for joining James in Los Angeles was too high for Irving as he would have lost $30 million in salary.

“Guess Kyrie didn’t want a second chance with LeBron THAT bad – not lose-$30-mil bad. So, after wrecking the Nets last season, he’s forced to play with them next season for a mere $36.5 mil. Some guys just can’t get a break,” Bayless tweeted.
