JaMychal Green might have to pack his bags once again, as Oklahoma City Thunder lead executive Sam Presti has hinted that the veteran could be moved to a new team soon.
In OKC’s rookie introductory press conference, Presti said that he’ll work things out to find Green a much suitable situation — noting that he doesn’t fit very well to their rebuilding timeline.
At age 32 and still productive as a reserve piece, Green’s presence will certainly be much needed by a contending club.
This June, the Denver Nuggets have shipped Green and a protected 2027 first-round pick to Oklahoma City in exchange for the draft rights of 2022 Draft No. 30 pick Peyton Watson and two second-round selections from 2023 and 2024, respectively.
Green has exercised his player option for the following season, securing an $8.2 million salary.
He tallied an average of 6.4 points and 4.2 boards on 48.6 percent shooting for the Nuggets last season.
