Bradley Beal ‘truly undecided’ about future in Washington, next chapter of career – report

Bradley Beal is in a tight position of personal thinking regarding his stay in the D.C. area.

Per Wizards insider Quinton Mayo via Blue Wire podcasts (h/t HoopsHype), the all-star guard is “truly undecided” about his future stay in Washington and making the next steps of his career.

Bradley Beal is truly undecided as to what is next for him. Now a lot of people would come back to that comment and say, well, he has a very large incentive to return to the team in DC. He also has made a ton of money already through 10 years of NBA basketball.

Earlier this week, Beal decided to decline his $36.4 million player option for next season, which allows him to become an unrestricted free agent this summer.

League circles are assuming all year long that this move is already expected and both him as well as the Wizards brass are just plotting for a brand-new, larger deal that is being estimated to worth around quarter-billion ($247M) to establish an extended partnership.

As such, this update about Beal, mulling of himself being in the long-term picture in Washington, may suggest of a potential departure on the side of the 27-year-old to go with other teams.

Beal already made headlines upon revealing that several contemporaries were recruiting him to join their ball club. Should he go for it, he can only ink a much lesser $183.6 million for four years.

And if ever he decides to stay, he can still lead the club and pair up with Kristaps Porzingis to embark the now-competitive Eastern Conference.
