Spurs rumors: SA looking for three FRP in exchange for Dejounte Murray

The San Antonio Spurs are demanding a big haul for Dejounte Murray.

Via Jake Fischer’s ‘Please Don’t Aggregate This’ podcast, the franchise is seeking for three first-round picks to pull off a trigger and ship Murray away out of Texas.

Unexpected reports were leaked from the past few days that the Spurs are indeed listening on the trade offers for 25-year-old two-way guard in this offseason market, eyeing a “Jrue Holiday-like package” that the New Orleans Pelicans have received from the Milwaukee Bucks way back in 2020.

This rumored shopping of Murray may signal the plans of San Antonio to finally steer for a full-blown rebuild. After establishing a basketball dynasty bannered by Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili from the past two decades, they now find themselves at the near bottom of the competitive Western Conference ladder — missing the playoff arena for the past three seasons.

The last 21-22 campaign served as the best one so far for Murray wearing a silver and black gear, making himself a first-time All-star while averaging 21.1 points, 9.2 assists, 8.3 boards and 46.2 shooting for 34.8 minutes of action.
