Pat Connaughton is set to remain in Milwaukee for another year.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski has confirmed that Connaughton will exercise his $5.7 million player option for the 2022-2023 season. He is now eligible to ink an extension with the Bucks this summer.
Connaughton had a productive output last season fresh from his 2021 title run with the Bucks, averaging a career-high 9.9 points to go along with 4.2 boards per 26 minutes of play.
With Milwaukee expected to become one of the league’s favored championship contenders for next year, Connaughton’s reliable shooting and presence will be needed by the club once again.
