Karl-Anthony Towns has one two more years left on his current four-year deal with the Timberwolves. He will be eligible to sign a supermax extension this summer.
The 26-year-old center has full backing of Minnesota’s new president Tim Connelly who says he would like to see Towns spend his entire career with the team.
“I hope he’s here forever,” Connelly said via Chris Hine of Star-Tribune. “I hope we have the type of team success that would allow us to look up and see Karl’s jersey being hung up in the rafters.”
This past season Towns averaged 24.6 points, 9.8 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 33.4 minutes per game.
