This year’s NBA Finals includes two of the best defensive players in the league – Marcus Smart and Draymond Green. The Warriors forward set the tone in Game 2 with his physicality, helping his team win the game and tie the series.
Ahead of Game 3 in Boston, Marcus Smart was asked about how the Celtics are going to respond to Green being physical. The 28-year-old point guard, who was named the Defensive Player of the Year last month, things that his team should bring the same kind of physicality to the game in response.
“You respond to fire with fire, right? We just got to turn around and do the same thing,” Smart said. “If he’s going to come in here and try to be physical, this is our house and we got to protect it.”
