Klay Thompson on who inspired him to play on both ends of the floor

The Warriors locked down the Mavericks in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals, allowing them to score just 87 points while at the same time scoring 112 themselves.

Klay Thompson was one of the players who worked hard on the defensive end for Golden State. After the game he revealed the players that inspired him to not limit himself just by playing on offensive end.

“Marking the best player every night for 40 minutes is not easy and going to get buckets on the other end, but it’s something I love to do,” Thompson said postgame. “All the best two-guards to ever play the game play both sides of the ball whether it was Mike [Michael Jordan], Kobe [Bryant], D-Wade [Dwyane Wade] – guys I really idolized as a kid. They all competed on that side, so I just try to follow the same old.”
