NBA hands Mavs a 50k fine due to bench decorum violation in G7 vs Suns

The NBA slaps the Dallas Mavericks a $50,000 fine for violating the league’s bench decorum policy in Game 7 of their West Semis face-off against the Phoenix Suns.

This serves as the second time that Dallas will receive a fine due to the said violation. It was in Game 2 at the same series that they received a $25,000 punishment, as some of their players and personnel were seen going out of the bench.

The Mavs, despite being down 0-2, emerged victorious and toppled the league-leading Suns in the closeout game. The ball club went to Phoenix for Game 7 and pulverized the Chris Paul and Devin Booker led-squad in the whole duration of the match, 123-90.

Behind the leadership of their cornerstone Luka Doncic, the franchise punched their ticket to the Western Conference Finals for the first time since their maiden title year in 2011.

Doncic and the Mavs will take on Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors for the right to represent the West in this season’s NBA Finals.

The two west coast powerhouse is set for their Game 1 clash on Wednesday in San Francisco.
