Patrick Beverley on James Harden: “I would offer him the super-duper-duper max”

James Harden had a disappointing playoffs this year for his standards. His performance ignited discussions whether the superstar deserves a max contract.

The 32-year-old shooting guard has a player option for another year that he can exercise in summer. He is also eligible to sign an extension.

Harden’s former teammate Patrick Beverley has no doubts that the former NBA MVP should be given a super max contract because nobody can guard him in the league.

“No, I wouldn’t offer him the max. I would offer him the super-duper-duper max,” the Minnesota point guard said on ESPN’s Get Up. “Who can guard James Harden? A team, not one player.”
