Metta World Peace made his Italian league debut for his new side Cantu. Despite it being his first game, the former-NBA champion was among the top scorers even though he struggled with his shot.

Cantu lost 87-88 to Giorgio Tesi Pistoia in an overtime thriller during which World Peace contributed 16 points and was the second top scorer for his team behind another former Los Angeles Laker Darius Johnson-Odom who had 25 on the night.

World Peace spent 23 minutes on the floor in his first game for Cantu. He made 6/1 2-pointers, 8/2 3-pointers and all of his 8 free-throws. He also grabbed 8 rebounds, made 3 assists.

Known for his aggressiveness on the court, World Peace had 4 fouls, one of them was a technical just after 2 minutes of play.
