Devin Booker delivered a big-time performance as he led the Suns in scoring with 28 points to a Game 5 win against the Mavericks.
The 25-year-old shooting guard was instrumental in helping Phoenix build a big lead and get a comfortable 30-point win (110-80). After the game Booker admitted that during the years when he was not in the Playoffs he was using his imagination to prepare for the time when he finally gets there.
“This is just what I’ve been preparing for,” he said. “Even those seasons that we didn’t make it I sat there and I took that anger to the gym and just imagined myself being in those situations.
“Imagination is a big part of this. I had to use some imagination on playing in playoff games in my workouts. I guess it’s working out a little bit, but I got some room to go”
