Tyrese Maxey reacts to scoring 21 points in second half of Game 3 vs Heat

Tyrese Maxey shared his thoughts on his excellent offensive performance in the second half of Game 3 between the Philadelphia 76ers and the Miami Heat (79-99).

The young guard went scoreless in the first half, but went for 21 points in the second half, on 7/11 shooting and 5/6 from beyond the arc. “I just started being aggressive. I kind of was, you know, let the game come to me a little bit. Got the Big Fella [Joel Embiid] back.

James [Harden] was attacking and doing a really good job of that. And, I don’t really have to force anything. It’s kind of get it where I can fit in at, and when it’s time to make some big shots, I’m gonna try to make some big shots,” Tyrese Maxey told media afterwards.

Following the win, the Sixers remained alive and will aim to even the series on Sunday, when they host the Heat at Wells Fargo Center.
