Steph Curry reacts to Dillon Brooks’ flagrant foul on Gary Payton II

The Golden State Warriors suffered a loss against the Memphis Grizzlies in Game 2 of the second round series (106-101). To make the matters worse for the Dubs, Gary Payton II fractured his elbow when Dillon Brooks knocked him out of the air.

Steph Curry shared his thoughts on the incident during a postgame press conference. “It was kind of out of line in terms of defenseless player going up for layup and him taking a huge wind-up and everything bad that could have happened in that situation did,” the three-time NBA champion said.

“Knocked him out of the game. We’ll see what happens with his injury. It was obviously a tough way to start the game, but we’ll see what happens.

“Obviously, it was definitely, talking about, a flagrant two, definitely one of those. They made the right call there. I feel bad for GP. This is his time to shine, and in a series like this, a play like that knocks him out. So it’s tough.”
