Fred VanVleet made his first All-Star Game appearance this season as he took another step forward in his career. After reaching this milestone the 28-year-old shooting guard wants to continue to make progress.

This season he averaged 20.3 points, 4.4 rebounds and 6.7 assists per game. According to the Raptors star, scoring 20 points per game is not enough for him anymore.

“I’m never too proud to ask for help or seek out advice,” VanVleet said, per Josh Lewenberg. “I’m at that crossroads where 20 points isn’t a good game anymore. I went from underrated to overrated very fast. I gotta start thinking outside the box, I’ve gotta get uncomfortable, I’ve gotta find ways to get better.”
