Jalen Brunson: “The ball found me”

The Dallas Mavericks guard Jalen Brunson scored 24 points, three rebounds, two assists, and two steals and the Mavs beat the Donovan Mitchell-led Utah Jazz 98-96 on Thursday night in Game 6 to wrap up the first-round series. Dallas entered the playoffs as the No. 4 seed. Utah was No. 5.

“Playing with Luka the past couple years, I should expect the ball when I’m not expecting it. The ball found me,” Brunson said of his clutch 3-pointer from the corner.

The Mavericks to face the top-seeded Phoenix Suns in the second round. Game 1 of the Western Conference semifinals will take place Monday at 7 p.m. MST in Phoenix at Footprint Center.
