Doc Rivers addressed the right thumb injury of Joel Embiid, which will not cost him his participation in the rest of the NBA playoffs.

The veteran coach said Embiid’s injury can’t get any worse and the superstar big man will get better day after day. “It’s going to be something he’s going to have to deal with throughout the playoffs from this point on. It’s not going to go away. He’ll get better and better at figuring out how to use it,” Doc Rivers told reporters after Game 4.

Despite the injury, Joel Embiid will keep playing for as long as the Philadelphia 76ers advance through the playoffs and will undergo surgery in offseason.
