Joel Embiid had a double-double of 33 points and 13 rebounds in Game 3 of the first round series against the Toronto Raptors. The Cameroonian center sealed an overtime win with a wild three-pointer with 0.7 seconds on the clock.
After the game Embiid’s superstar teammate James Harden was asked about the final play of the game. “That’s the MVP of the league right there,” he said. “Unfortunate enough that I couldn’t help but we just rallied , we found a way to win. That’s what the playoffs are about.
“I kept talking about in the regular season. It might not be the prettiest game but we found ways. Defensively I think we’re really good down the stretch. Tobias [Harris] had some really good defensive plays. We limited the one shot, we gain rebounds and we gave ourselves a chance to win on the road. That’s all you can ask for.”
The 76ers now have a commanding 3-0 lead in the series and could sweep the Raptors in Game 4 which will take place in Toronto.
