Longtime head coach of the Celtics and the team’s current president of basketball operation Brad Stevens is sure he would not take the Lakers job.
There is a head coach vacancy in Los Angeles following the firing of Frank Vogel but for Stevens that is simply not an option.
“I definitely would not leave the Celtics to go to the Lakers. Like, I’m definitely not doing that. I know that for a fact,” Stevens said, per Keith Smith.
It could be due the historical rivalry between the league’s two most successful franchises or it may be related with how the team is run.
Former NBA player and current analyst Jay Williams slammed the Lakers for having one of the worst cultures in the NBA because of the way that the team is managed.
