Ben Simmons is yet to play his first game for the Brooklyn Nets since joining the team via a blockbuster trade from the Philadelphia 76ers back in February.
The 25-year-old was dealing with back issues that kept him out of playing and even prevented him from practicing with the team.
Nets head coach Steve Nash did not provide much hope for seeing Simmons in action this year as he said that the player is only doing light shooting and nothing dynamic, as reported by Alex Schiffer.
Brooklyn has clinched a play-in berth but is currently in tenth place in the Eastern Conference which means they will have to win twice in the play-in tournament to secure a place in the playoffs.
The Nets could still move to as high seventh seed. Though the chances of that happening are slim as they are three games behind the seventh-placed Hawks with four regular season games left to play.
