Dwight Howard: “I’m a little tired right now”

Donovan Mitchell scored 29 points, Rudy Gobert added 25 points along with 17 rebounds as the Utah Jazz snapped a five-game losing streak with a 122-109 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday night, via ESPN.

Russell Westbrook scored 24 points, Dwight Howard had 21 points and 14 rebounds for the Lakers, who were without LeBron James (ankle sprain) and Anthony Davis (foot sprain).

After the game, the Lakers big man Dwight Howard talked about staying fresh for tomorrow’s game vs. the New Orleans Pelicans then an early Sunday afternoon start vs. the Denver Nuggets: “I’m a little tired right now. But ain’t nothin’ to it but to go do it.”

On fighting for the play-in: “It’s a little shocking, but you know anything can happen when you play this sport. … It’s just not a good feeling knowing how we wanted to start the season and where we thought we’d be right now.”
