Kevin Durant reacts to Nets allowing 123 points by ‘a team like Detroit’

The Nets swept the regular season series against the Piston by defeating one of the worst teams in the NBA (130-123). Kevin Durant led all scorers with 41 points.

After the game he was asked by a reporter about Brooklyn’s defense as the team allowed Detroit to score 123 points. KD did not appreciate the way the question was presented.

“What you mean ‘a team like Detroit’?” Durant responded with a question to the reporter who clarified that the Pistons have the second worst record in the East.

“I mean they been playing solid the last two weeks though,” Durant continued. “We don’t look at teas like that. I know their record isn’t good but they still got pro’s over there. And tonight they made shots.

“They start off the game making six threes in the first quarter they give you a lot of confidence as a team… and it’s good for us to go through periods like that because it’s gonna be times in the playoffs when teams get hot unexpectedly and see how we weather a storm.

“So it’s a good test for us and I like it, no matter if we playing the Pistons or the Milwaukee Bucks. I think situation we got better from and we evolved as they game went on regardless of the opponent.”
