Lakers to possibly rule out Kendrick Nunn for the whole season – report

There are looming expectations that the lowly Los Angeles Lakers will finally shut down indefinitely their still unavailable combo guard Kendrick Nunn.

Chris Haynes of Yahoo! Sports detailed during his courtside reporting stint in TNT’s nationally televised game of the Lakers against the Dallas Mavericks that Nunn will undergo another MRI next week and is expected to sit down for the remainder of the tumultuous season.

“Kendrick Nunn – who hasn’t played a game all season due to a bone bruise in his knee – has an MRI scheduled later this week, but sources relay he is expected to sit out the remainder of the season to continue rehabbing.”

Nunn, who continues to have a shady bone bruise injury recovery, didn’t gain an opportunity to represent the purple and gold in the regular season. He inked a two-year, $10 million contract that was offered by the Lakers last summer, with a player option for the 2022-2023 season.

Los Angeles continues to endure a depressing season, stepping out of the Play-in contention after a 128-110 crushing defeat eventually against the Mavericks on Tuesday.
